  1. Today we read about argumentative essays and about editing. Argumentative essays are essays that allow you to choose a topic, take your stance, research about it, and defend it against other stances. It's much more than how I have explained it but that's how I see it.

  2. Today we read about how to start your argumentative essay. We learned that you should have three stages to help guide you along your essay. In those three stages you start from choosing your topic and discussing it through your stage two then concluding it in your stage three. You must not confuse your reader by going back and forth with your topic of discussion. In the book it pointed out a good example that when writing a topic do not jumble up your ideas.

  3. Today in class we discussed about argumentative essay and the topics we are able to chose from once we right our essay. We also got to have a mini raffle of post cards that were brought by Dr, Rivera. I was able to glance at all three an each had a beautiful picture of San Diego printed on it. I shared my picture which I happened to really liked and i was slightly wishing to keep it. It amazes me how man post cards Dr. Rivera has, and all are beautiful.

  4. Today we discussed another type of essay called argumentative essay. This kind of essay usually talks about a certain topic. You are to support, defend, and research about that topic. We also learned more about the editing process. We were to edit our paper from stage two. Overall, the class was helpful.

    1. I love the challenges of righting a argumentative essay. In a way with the argumentative essay you have to talk about one specific topic but you also have to focus on how your topic ends (as in what happens after the conflict)

  5. Today we went over what an argumentative essay is. An argumentative essay is an essay that allows you to argue about a specific topic and provide evidence to support your argument. We also went over stage three of the Writing Process which was to edit. I found editing very helpful because it made my essay better than when I first wrote it.

  6. Arguementative gives you time to go back and edit your story. Recursive is the word for it. Its important to have a strong thesis so it can support and foretell the rest of your essay. Give your reader something that is intriguing and true.

  7. Today's discussion is about argumentative essay. We've learned how this essay is required very informative supporting details to be able to convince the reader and prove a point regarding a given topic. It also required research and facts to make our argument stronger and more interesting. We also did our revising for our previous topic we're been using since stage one of the writing process. Following the steps really help a lot in composing an essay.

  8. Although argumentative essays appear to be the most difficult, I love it! In order to to produce such an essay, you definitely need to research your topic, analyze and cross reference them as well. You will gain greater understanding of your topic that will eventually become useful to you at some point of time.

  9. Today's was about what an argumentative essay is. It is an essay where the author writes about an opposing opinion on a topic. It requires the author to have a lot of information to back up their argument. The other topic was about editing. Editing is to help you make a clean and precise paragraph.

  12. Today we learned how to construct argumentative essays. It is probably the most difficult essay to write being it requires tons of research to complete. It requires facts that proves the writers point and some that disproves it.

  13. Today we read about the argumentative essay. I was surprised on this style. It is more serious than the rest of the essays that we learned. It has to have two sides going against each other because it will be in an argument type style. Basically like having a debate. Once again, we read about editing. Editing will be the last step to finalizing your essay.

    1. I agree that argumentative essays are interesting since it states two part of a topic. Although it states two ideas on an issue, the writer puts more logic and reasoning to one side he chooses. Editing is one of the last steps to an essay.

  14. Today our class learned the structure of an argumentative essay. The essay has both points of an issue and inputs more assertion towards one of what the writer believes to be more correct or truthful. It also contains facts, reasons, inductions and a conclusion. The information does not necessarily has to have only facts but principles of what people go by.
