  1. This academic resource was helpful in explaining how to manage one's time. I believe time management is an important element to being successful. Some ways to manage your time is by making to-do lists, making daily schedules, making weekly schedules, and staying on top of your work and not procrastinate.

  2. The rubric for writing above is very helpful because it contains all the information needed to write an essay. Probably when I need to write an essay, I can just look through the rubric to guide me through what ever hardship I encounter during writing my essay.

    1. Yes, it is very helpful. Especially when writing our next test that will be due on Tuesday. Hopefully we all can remember it when we are in need of a clue when writing the essay.

  6. I thought that the academic resource should be used as a guide, everyone should have learned all of this and applied it already in their work. I think the best information provided would be "motivating yourself."
Today's class discussion was work in the book.

    1. Well said. People should come to college already having an idea about how important is time management. Prioritizing goals is the first step. I guess it still has to be reinforced. It is evident that some classmates did not even read the link. Certainly, we are not all "on the same page."

  7. I found this source very helpful. I feel like managing time and tasks is very important in college. I know a lot of people who do not make use of their time. I still procrastinate, but I'm trying to break that habit.

    1. Rashaun, it is a matter of prioritizing. You cared enough to read the link while some, did not even check it. You probably consider college a very important factor in your life. Try to not procrastinate now that we are getting so close to the end of the semester. Now is time to go "full speed."

  10. The resource provided above was very helpful given the fact that I don't really manage my time well. I tend to procrastinate a lot. It gave me tips on how to better manage my time by balancing school and work. In today's class discussion we talked about the 4 Ps which were purpose, points, patterns and presentation. These 4 Ps could be really helpful when it comes to developing ideas in a compare and contrast kind of essay.

  12. This was pretty helpful because I think I really need to learn time management. I spend so much time doing everything except what I need to do. I need to learn fast because college doesn't mess around and I fins myself falling behind a lot.

  13. I read the academic resource. I apply most of those strategies in order to have control over my student life. I agree with their idea of posting Peter Drucker's words: "Management means...the substitution of thought for brawn and muscle, of knowledge for folklore and superstition, and of cooperation for force." Make things happen!
Perfect timing of today's material in class; I have been wondering about how to exhibit for the "argumentative essay" conflicting views (persuasive writing). It turns out the patterns are called "subject-by-subject", and "point-by-point". Perfect. I have the structure in place, and now I only have to place my evidence the right way.
