  1. Revising and editing are very important in writing an essay. It is a good idea to edit and revise your essay once you submit it. For example, if you don't revise or edit your essay before turning it in, there could errors within your essay. We also learned about this word in class before called recursive, which means to look back. Today's activities were pretty interesting. We learned about useful pre-writing procedures and the process analysis.

  2. Revising and editing are very important in writing an essay. It gives you a chance to preview your work and look for silly mistakes you have made. Revising and editing can change your first draft from sucky to excellent. It will help you so much in the future.

Today's activities were interesting. We learned about process analysis. I also learned how to change the oil in a car. I do not change my oil in my car. So it was great learning about that.

    1. I agree. Revising and Editing does give the writer to correct your silly mistakes. I have changed my oil myself but I don't consider myself a mechanic. Although changing my oil myself saved 15 dollars, I don't know of any recycling centers located on Guam.

    2. Silly mistakes are right Abigail!

  3. According to the University's article, it is important to fulfill the writing assignment's requirements. Sometimes these requirements need critical thinking to decipher what the instructor is looking for. Once all the requirements are met, polishing up the essay to flow and correcting grammar comes next.

Today's class was about Process Analysis or writing about doing. It is important to write down the steps in the outline in order to ensure something was done properly. Also we learned to site 5 sources using the latest resources in the past 5 years unless the information was groundbreaking. A good example of this is Sir Isac Newton's principals of motion.

  4. Revising and editing your essay is the last step before submission. It helps to have a peer who can review it for you so there is another perspective. It is very important to revise and edit because you would not want to turn in a grammatically incorrect essay. The University of Toronto has made a site that we can go back to so that we will know if we revise and edit efficiently.

  5. Revising and editing means to change but not all changes are for the better. Editing and proof reading attend to the detail and are better done after you've decided that you are basically happy with what you are saying. Both revising and editing deserve serious attention.

Class is always fun. Especially when we all laugh together. Finally, at the end of class we use the brain stretcher exercise as usual.

  6. Revising and editing helps you improve your essay.
The University of Toronto gave examples on how to polish you work which I found helpful. I have a problem with using contractions and usually it is not a professional way to present an essay. I believe that having correct grammar is important.

  7. Revising and editing are very important because you do not want to turn in an incomplete paper. As we right we may not see our errors, but when we go back and reread we are able to identify any mistakes.

I like that we did the oil changing, because now i know the steps to change my oil. I also like the post card because it is amazing and elegant.

  8. This resource is familiar to me. I have used it as a reference a few times before. I found that it was extremely helpful and very step-by-step (easy to follow).
It is EXTREMELY important to edit and revise because it only allows you to perfect your paper and show that your skills have improved.

Today's class was fun, as always. I love how we now interpret feeling into our reading - thanks to Jay!

  9. Revising and editing is very important and helpful in writing. Without these you could end up with a bad paper, especially a paper with many errors. Fixing your paper will keep your audience more interested since it will make more sense, and maybe less tedious.

Today's class activity was fun. We always have funny moments, but learn at the same time. I am always looking forward to coming to this class.

    1. Revising does help a lot. For instance, I usually add too much details that leads to something else. My friends who peer review paper advise that I should drop a few information so that it would not be so confusing. I always thought that the more information included, the better. However, I learn from revisions that that it is not always the case.

    2. I feel everyone has their own style of writing and as long as your essay is organized and concise, length should not be a concern.

    3. I got to be honest Jay, having that little bonding sash during theatre prior to English class really opened my eyes about you! You are way more enthusiastic for you work than I thought!

  10. Revising and Editing is, like everyone says, important not just for us writers, but also for our audience. It is important for us because it helps us write better, which we all want. It is important to the audience because it makes it easier for them too.

Today, class was memorable because of 'Hafa Adai, my name is Jay.' So far he hasnt failed in making us laugh.

  11. Revising and editing is very important in essay writing because it is the little things such as grammar that completes our essay. It makes essays so much more meaningful so that they can be easier to understand for others.

  12. Revising and Editing are very essential in the process of writing. The reader should not be dumbfounded while reading. While proofreading, a person can improve on the information they have given in their writing. After editing, a person improves on their works and captures their improvements.

Today's class activity was another great way of absorbing information. While we did the exercises, we grasp on the importance of steps. Directive and Informative essays contain process of order.

  13. Revising and Editing your papers or your writings are very important to do. By doing this you catch your own mistakes and you can add or change things if you want. These two topics are the most important step to do.

Todays activity was very fun and interesting because of the reading. The reading was fun because everyone read with emotions which was quite interesting. The reading was a slow pitch baseball game. We also, did two assignments where you have to list the steps to Change Oil and Plant a Lawn. That assignment was crazy because mostly everyone got things wrongs and plus we even Google how to do those things. Overall great class session.

  14. The importance of revising and editing is arranging your essay with every word, sentence grammar, and spelling. It can be cutting out some long sentences which are unnecessary, or just breaking them down into two sentences. We do it to ask ourselves if we have accomplished providing evidence and support through the style of the essay. Double checking with your thesis statement, your topic and supports, and your conclusion could give you more ideas in making it better.

Today's activity was great! We learned about Directive and Informative process analysis. Changing the car oil was a directive style that taught us how to change our car oil.

  15. As forementioned, revising and editing is when you polish your essay. This critical stage determines your final message and it's deliverance. This stage also allows you go over your essay and make changes if necessary.
