  1. This resource is pretty useful because it shows a simplistic, but sounds educated in writing. It's kind of useful for those who need to double check on the right way of writing. Today's assignment was good, and I'm glad I got to submit my essay. It was also nice to have exercises on breaking down an essay.

  2. In the review link, it showed me common mistakes that I did not know I had been doing; in all three categories, which are English grammar, mechanics, and punctuation. Having seen these common mistakes, it should help me in my future writings. I hope to have stronger and less mistakes in essays to come. Also in today's discussions on descriptive narration was an eye opener.

  3. I find this resource very useful. I've seen these mistakes before on my previous classmates' papers. I also make these mistakes myself. Today's discussion was good. We discussed about descriptive narrative essay. It's very crazy how writing a narrative essay can make you see, feel, taste, or smell, or hear what the essay is talking about. I find it pretty cool.

  5. The link above is very resourceful because there are a lot of people who have common mistakes in writing. I find it somewhat annoying when I see bad grammar especially when it comes to social networks. It's very important to proof read or double check your writing. Today's class discussion was also very informative on descriptive and narrative essays.

  6. The link was no doubt a great help. Common mistakes in writing exists everywhere. Not one person is a perfect writer. Every writer looks through there essays or paragraph. They want to make sure there writing is understandable and appealing. Today's activities were very informative and helpful. It was a great eye-opening day for me.

  7. I guess this resource is somewhat helpful. It shows the right and wrong way to do certain things, but it doesn't really explain why you would do that. I am pretty sure I'd use this for future reference. I'm not quite sure how I feel about today's class activities because to be honest I kind of didn't pay attention.

  8. The link above is very helpful because there are a lot of common errors that most people tend to get mixed up with. Every person makes mistakes in their writings. Every person who writes an essay always makes sure to look through it and make some adjustments to it to make it sound better for the reader. Also, todays activity was very satisfying and informative.

  9. I find the link very resourceful. Most of the tips, I had already known. However, the combination of singular or plural forms of words in the same sentence was a helpful tip. Today's activity was helpful because we are seeing descriptive on a deeper level with sight, smell, sound, and feel.

    1. Yes, we were able to see how to engage all the senses of the reader. It is something that has to be practiced. The skillful use of descriptive words in "The Drag" made us feel the anticipation of speed. It was as good as a moving picture.

Today's activity is very informative and enjoyable. Its like we went over everything we learned the past few months being mashed up into one chapter.

    3. I have problems especially with the commas. I want to print this list of common mistakes, to have handy for stage three.
      I like those essays we read in class too. They are simple, but convey a meaningful message. I like to think that I will be able to write like that in the near future.

  14. I have seen the list of common mistakes before, and it is an excellent reminder for the third stage of writing.
    Today's class was a good practice on how to achieve coherence/unity in the descriptive/narrative essay: situation, conflict, struggle, outcome, meaning. Also, understanding how transition and descriptive words are used.

  15. The link provided was a great help. One thing I get mixed up with is 'its' and 'it's' but now I know which is possessive and which on is 'it is'. The link was a good refresher in correcting or keeping in mind these common mistakes in the third stage of the writing process.
